Grand Opening

Dr. Val Coleman and the Stand InBalance team are thrilled to announce that we  just completed the opening of our new Ranch in Westlake Village/ Thousand Oaks!  We have an amazingly beautiful, private setting and are excited to share it with you.  Over the last few months we have been busily preparing our arena, horse corrals and office area - Yes, we will finally have an indoor space where we can meet, cool down, warm up, and/or freshen up!

This space is truly a dream come true and we look forward to sharing it with you. Now that the ranch is open we hope you will join us for our open barn or one of our upcoming workshops.  In addition, we now have private intensives available for individuals and couples.

New Horizons  - December 2010

Evolution

InBalance is evolving!  This fall has brought some exciting changes and I am thrilled to announce that InBalance has a new name and logo - Stand InBalance

So, it looks a little different, but it's the same great company.

New Horizons

Our new name and logo are reflective of how passionate I am about embodied empowerment and our commitment to helping people find their authentic voice in relation to others. The last few years have been an incredible journey, and more than ever, I am convinced that when we are "standing in balance" we are in-line with our authentic self and ultimately able to be closer and more deeply connected with others.

For me, standing in balance has enabled me to build upon InBalance and become more expansive in my vision.  I continue to be amazed and moved by horses' ability to partner with us when we are aligned with our feelings, beliefs, and desires.  And, how they reflect when we are incongruent in our emotions, thoughts, and actions.  To effectively partner with them we need to learn to quiet ourselves, deepen our self-awareness, and shift into new action.  These skills for life enable us to connect more clearly with ourselves and our passions.  I am forever grateful to the horses, their wisdom, and how they have helped both Amy and I follow our passions.

Amy Adventures Onward

Yes, it's true - I'm headed to the Pacific Northwest!  My husband and I decided to take action on our dream of moving up to the woods and water with the added bonus of

Amy

living closer to our daughters in Portland, Oregon.  We are thrilled to begin exploring all the possibilities of a new location, a new herd, and a new coffee shop (an integral part of a Northwestern community I have learned).

The next 3 months will be about settling in to a new home, studying for my licensing exam, spending time with family, and envisioning my future practice with horses, humans, and adventure. I guess it could be said that I'm on a midlife exodus odyssey. And I like to think I have entered it just as I enter the arena- with curiosity, excitement and no right or wrong turns. So far, it's not half as scary out here as I thought it would be!

I will no longer be with InBalance, but its evolution with Val at the helm (or reins) of Stand InBalance is the natural next step in a cutting edge company's evolution - one that reflects Val's passion for embodied empowerment and authentic relating.

I want to thank you for having the courage to step out into the dirt with me. To explore your challenges, build on your strengths, and share in your joy. The lessons one learns just by standing next to a horse are not always simple nor subtle, but there's a simplicity that always makes it profound. To me, it's the gift that propelled me on this amazing journey.....because..... growth is adventure and the learning is in the doing
